My journey
A little about me
I am a psychologist with a degree from the University of Crete and an MSc in Forensic Psychiatry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I am training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through the four-year programme of the Society for Cognitive and Behavioural Studies (EGSS).
My clinical training includes the Postgraduate Clinical Practice Programme of the 1st Department of Psychiatry (NKUA) at Eginition Hospital, where I took part in patient screening, the specialised OCD and Sexual Health clinics, and supervision groups. Today I work as a psychologist at the Institute of Behaviour Research and Therapy (IBRT), providing individual Cognitive Behavioural therapy for adults.
Before that, I worked in services in Rhodes with people going through very difficult times: at the Psychiatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Rhodes, at the Women’s Counselling Centre with women who had experienced violence, in prevention programmes for students and parents, and with children with special needs. These experiences deeply shaped the way I work: with respect, patience and belief in every person’s capacity for change.
